Degrees + Awards

Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication Design

specialising in both Photography + Communication Design.

I studied at The Open Window Institute, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication Design with a specialisation in Photography and Communication Design. In 2022, my artist’s book Sonnie, a deeply personal project exploring the life and loss of my mother, received the Pangolin Award for Most Successful Photobook. Reflecting my passion for meaningful, story-driven photography.

Postgraduate degree in Photography

Exploring Memory, Narrative + Experimental Photography.

I pursued a Postgraduate degree in Photography, completing a 13,000-word thesis alongside extensive practical work. My research explored how reflecting on memories and shaping personal narratives can foster self-empowerment, and how photographic collage supports self-reflection and memory work.

In 2023, my Honours project was recognised at the Pangolin Awards, winning Most Experimental VC/CT Honours Project and placing second runner-up for Most Successful VC/CT Honours Project at The Open Window, highlighting my commitment to creative research and meaningful photographic storytelling.
